Minimum requirements
PDO San Marzano Tomato may be packaged in glass jars or tin cans, strictly certified and numbered, bearing the PDO logo and Consortium logo.
The San Marzano Tomato from Agro Sarnese-Nocerino PDO can be packaged in glass containers and tinplate cans of the standard D.R.F. (double cold reduction) quality. These containers must be rigorously certified and numbered. For greater recognition, they must display, in addition to the legally required information, the PDO logo and the graphic logo of the Protection Consortium.
*These characteristics are subject to future modifications to the containers, which meet new or specific technological and commercial requirements, but are still suitable for the product in question, within the limits permitted by current EU regulations.
